Spritz

The Spritz is one of Europe’s most iconic wine cocktails, originating in northern Italy where Austrian soldiers in the 19th century diluted local wines with a “spritz” of soda water. Today, it’s most famous in its modern form, the Aperol Spritz, but the style has evolved into a whole category of light, sparkling, and refreshing serves.

A classic spritz combines sparkling wine (often Prosecco), a bitter or aromatic liqueur (such as Aperol, Campari, or elderflower cordial), and soda water, creating a drink that’s bright, fizzy, and low in alcohol.
