Saffron Grange Vineyard is nestled in the picturesque Essex countryside, near Saffron Walden. Our journey began with a thorough soil analysis, revealing the land's unique combination of chalk seam, climate, and topography, making it perfect for growing premium quality sparkling wine grapes.
Our vineyard sits on the same chalk seam as renowned French wine regions, with a rare soil formation that provides excellent drainage and moisture retention. This, combined with the local climate, creates ideal conditions for grape cultivation.
We're proud to be part of the Saffron region's rich history, once a global centre for saffron production. Our vision is to revive this valuable land, creating a renowned centre for fine English sparkling wine, and generating jobs and prosperity for our local community.
