About Yotes Court Vineyard
Yotes Court Vineyard is a modern, sustainable winery nestled in the Garden of England, Kent. The vineyard is situated on a historic estate, with roots dating back to the 14th century. Master of Wine Stephen Skelton identified the site as perfect for vines, with its south-sloping aspect, free-draining soil, and frost-free conditions.
The vineyard was planted in 2016 with Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Pinot Meunier grapes, which were initially used to produce sparkling wines for Chapel Down. In 2018, the owner, Susannah Ricci, expanded the vineyard, planting additional acres with Bacchus, Pinot Blanc, Pinot Gris, and Divico grapes.
Yotes Court is committed to sustainability, achieving accreditation as a Sustainable Producer under the Sustainable Wines of Great Britain scheme. The vineyard uses science and technology to minimise its environmental impact, increasing biodiversity and protecting soil fertility.
The winery partners with Defined Wine, a respected winery that shares its sustainable vision. Yotes Court produces single-vintage, single-varietal wines that reflect the unique characteristics of each grape variety.
