About Giffords Halls Vineyard
With roots dating back to 1408, Giffords Hall Vineyard has evolved into a thriving 35-acre estate across two sites in West Suffolk. Our journey began in 1986 with the planting of our first vines, and since then, we've expanded our portfolio to include a range of award-winning still and sparkling wines.
We're committed to sustainable winemaking practices, adhering to the principles of the Sustainable Wines of Great Britain initiative. Our vineyards are home to a friendly flock of rare breed sheep, which help promote the thriving of indigenous flora and fauna. We cultivate a variety of grape varieties, including Bacchus, Rondo, and Pinot Noir, with recent additions of Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, and Pinot Meunier.
Our winemaking process combines traditional techniques with modern technology. We use a combination of stainless steel tanks and French oak barrels to craft wines that are both elegant and complex. Our skilled winemaker carefully monitors each batch, blending the wines to create a truly exceptional taste experience.
Giffords Hall Vineyard has garnered an impressive array of awards, including 2 Gold Medals, 6 Silver Medals, and 11 Bronze medals from the Independent English Wine Awards, as well as recognition from Wine GB, Decanter World Wine Awards, and Wine GB East. Our commitment to excellence has earned us a reputation as one of England's leading vineyards.
