Poulton Hill Estate Vineyard is part of the dynamic English winemaking movement, producing award-winning wines from the picturesque Cotswold countryside. Established in 2010 near the historic towns of Cirencester and Cheltenham, the estate boasts 9,750 vines planted on sunny, south-facing slopes. These vines yield up to 20,000 bottles of wine annually, alongside a selection of English spirits crafted from hand-harvested grapes.
The estate cultivates grape varieties such as Bacchus, Seyval Blanc, Phoenix, Pinot Noir, Regent, and Rondo, all chosen for their compatibility with the local climate, geography, and soil. Under the expertise of a skilled contract winemaker and distiller, these varieties are blended and balanced to produce an exceptional range of white, rosé, red, and sparkling wines, as well as spirits.
Poulton Hill Estate’s ethos centres on environmental stewardship. Beyond being environmentally conscious, the estate takes active steps to support sustainability. Rare-breed Jacob’s Sheep and Olde English Babydoll Southdown Sheep graze the vineyard and orchard, providing natural weed control and enriching the soil without damaging the vines. Wildflowers are planted to support the insect population, fostering biodiversity across the estate.
