About Chilworth Manor Vineyard
Chilworth Manor in Surrey has a rich 1,000-year history, shaped by various owners and users, including Saxons, Normans, monks, and nobility. In 2006, the current owners sought to preserve this legacy while adding new dimensions. Inspired by past experiences with vineyards, they planted a new vineyard in the Surrey Hills. Despite challenges, the vineyard has thrived, thanks to the fertile soil.
Charity is central to Chilworth Manor's ethos. The estate opens its gardens for the National Gardens Scheme and hosts "Picnics & Pinks" music events, raising funds for local charities. The vineyard will continue this tradition, supporting local events and introducing new initiatives to help those in need worldwide. Specifically, it will support Mary's Meals, providing a week's worth of daily meals for a child in a Malawi school with every bottle sold. This initiative reflects the estate's commitment to preserving its legacy while making a positive impact on the world. By combining history, nature, and philanthropy, Chilworth Manor creates a unique and meaningful experience.
