Sparkling Cuvée

Cuvée is a French term that simply means “blend”, and in sparkling wines it refers to either a carefully chosen selection of grapes or a special bottling that represents the winemaker’s signature style. A Sparkling Cuvée is typically crafted from a blend of classic grapes such as Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Pinot Meunier (in Champagne and England), though in Prosecco or other regions, local grapes may be used.

In the glass, Sparkling Cuvée can range in style from crisp and citrus-driven to richer, toasty, and complex, depending on the grapes and winemaking. Expect lively bubbles, refreshing acidity, and flavours of apple, pear, lemon, and stone fruit, sometimes layered with notes of brioche, almond, or honey if aged on the lees.

For UK drinkers, Sparkling Cuvée is a versatile choice—ideal for celebrations, but also pairing beautifully with seafood, roast chicken, canapés, charcuterie, and soft cheeses.
