Pelegrim means Pilgrim in middle English (circa 12th century) and recognises the history of our forbears who walked the Pilgrim’s Way above our vineyard for centuries on their final leg to Canterbury.

Pelegrim NV is a traditional bottle-fermented sparkling wine that is made from Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunier and Chardonnay with reserve wines from previous vintages to give further complexity and a consistent extra dry non-vintage style. The wines are lees-aged in bottle for 36 months to give depth and biscuity aromas which only bottle-fermentation can deliver.

About Westwell Wine Estates

Welcome to Westwell Wine Estates, a family-run winery in the heart of Kent. We're dedicated to crafting delicious, authentic wines that showcase our unique terroir. Our experimental approach to winemaking, combined with a strong visual identity and vibrant community events, sets us apart.

We grow five varieties: Pinot Meunier, Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Regent, and our signature grape, Ortega. Our winemaker, Adrian Pike, is renowned for his innovative approach, while his wife, Galia, brings a creative touch to our labels, photography, and artwork.

Sustainability is key to our practice. We believe small, simple acts can make a big difference, from supporting local businesses to creative reuse of waste and byproducts. Our events, including workshops, cinema screenings, and supper clubs, provide a welcoming space for our community.

Our philosophy is simple: plant well, respect the soil, and make great, honest wines from brilliant fruit. With increased production on the horizon, we'll continue to experiment, minimise intervention, and create wines that truly reflect our Kentish terroir.
