The Gratiot-Pillière family’s focus has always been on quality, authenticity and value above all else. Winemakers since 1657, today the winery is in the hands of 11th generation brothers Olivier and Sébastien. The Verhaeghe family have been making wine in the Lot since the 1950s. Today it is Pascal and Jean-Marc in charge of the domaine, which is certified organic. They own three parcels of vineyards, the largest of which is 12.5 acres with stony calcareous clay which is called `Tran`, which plays an important role retaining heat and moisture. Drawing on his winemaking experience from California to Burgundy.

Owned by the Deniau family, Domaine des Vaublins has been a family winery for several generations. Since 2020 the Domaine is in the hands of the current generation Nicolas and Alexandrine, and together with Cedric Allion they are making some excellent wines under his watchful eye. Their 16 hectares of vines are located on the clay and limestone hillsides on the banks of the river Cher.

Launched in 2015, Valentin Leflaive was granted the status of ‘négociant-manipulant’ in 2020 enabling the company to manage the whole production chain including the purchase of grapes. A boutique winery was opened in Oger with a traditional ageing cellar dug deep into the chalk. Chef de Caves Christophe Pitois, who looks after the important relationship with the growers, is assisted by talented enologist Clément Galois. Both are from the Champagne region.
The colour reveals golden yellow reflections and a fine effervescence. The nose is expressive, with notes of ripe fruits such as white peach punctuated by brioche and toasted aromas. The attack is creamy and complex. A beautiful aromatic palate finishes on refreshing lemon and citrus notes.
