A stunning new addition to our collection, Old Oaks is a Phoenix-based sparkling wine crafted using the traditional bottle-fermentation method, with 12 months of aging on its lees. It entices the senses with delicate floral aromas, complemented by notes of brioche and white stone fruits.

The name Old Oaks pays homage to the ancient oak tree that stands sentinel by our Doehole vineyard, symbolizing our commitment to sustainability. A single variety, single vineyard wine that is produced in very limited quantities. On site at Melbury Vale Vineyard we have 500 established Seyval Blanc vines. Seyval blanc as a grape is ideal for the Dorset climate in that it is low maintenance and ripens beautifully. Come harvest, the bunches of grapes are large and have sugar levels perfectly aligned for producing traditional method sparkling wine. This wine is a pale golden color with fine bubbles typical of a high quality English sparkling wine. On the nose there are aromas of fresh citrus and ripe pear, and on the palate there are bright notes of green apple, elderflower, and meyer lemon.
