Litmus Red Pinot 2022 (6 Bottles) Dorking, Surrey, England

Modern white wines are generally pressed from their skins prior to fermentation. Orange wine is a term given to white wines that have been fermented and aged on their skins.
2022 Litmus Orange is produced from from 100% hand harvested Bacchus. The Bacchus was fermented and remained for six weeks on skins without sulphur dioxide.
Pale gold in colour the wine displays hazelnut, fennel and marzipan characters on the nose. The palate has a touch of Vanilla spice, is incredibly generous and complex and boasts a long broad palate with a gripping astringency and smooth, long finish. Enjoy with oily meats and spicy dishes.

Crafted from grapes harvested from the sunniest corner of the vineyard, this Sparkling Red marks an exciting debut. A delightful blend of Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier, it charms with its playful and fruit-forward character.
On the nose, it evokes the vibrant aroma of fresh strawberries on a warm summer’s day. The palate delivers a harmonious medley of cherry, wild berries, and a subtle touch of liquorice and spice, all beautifully balanced by a distinctive chalky acidity, a hallmark of the South Downs terroir.

Ashdown Boundary Block is made from 100% Merlot grapes. Aged in old oak barrels for 19 months. Light to medium bodied with a ruby to garnet hue. On the nose aromas of plum, blackcurrant, blackberry, almond, rhubarb, Cherry Bakewell and vanilla leading to flavors of cooked cherries, black currant jam, vanilla, cranberries and blackberries.
It is smooth with a good length. Its tannin structure is well balanced and delicate, while still delivering an intense and complex taste. Enjoy this wine with roast beef, mushroom risotto, or game dishes. Well-balanced acidity and medium body create a crisp, lively texture that carries to a refreshing finish. Pairs perfectly with shellfish, fresh salads, and a variety of cheeses.
