Greyfriars Vineyard Blanc de Blancs 2015 (6 Bottles) Puttenham, Surrey, England

£168.00
by Wines by Cellars

UK MAINLAND DELIVERY INCLUDED

The wine is dry yet the aromas remind us of baked apples and lemon peel, it’s a beautiful wine to drink with food and it will naturally match most fish dishes, and especially those prepared with a creamy sauce or with a hint of spice.

Tasting Notes featured in Decanter Magazine:: (November 2023) "A richly textured blanc de blancs from the North Downs, five years on lees. Yeasty mango, pineapple and banana peel on the nose. More rounded yellow fruits on the palate, seasoned with sweet spices and a touch of tannin. The creamy weight is offset by still-vivid freshness. Toasty almonds to finish."

WineGB Tasting Notes: "Deep colour, powerful nose with presence - cashew brioche and fig. A big, dense, textural wine with weight allied to power. Finishes long and fine with toasted nuts, candied lemon and spice."

The sixth release, our 2015 Blanc de Blancs is a standout wine that we are incredibly proud of. Awarded an impressive 93 points by Decanter Magazine, it featured in their November 2023 issue as one of the "Best English Wines to Try This Christmas". This wine is a true testament to our dedication to crafting exceptional English wines and makes a great gift for any wine lover.

The grapes were crushed and destemmed before fermenting. Part of the wine was fermented and aged in used oak barrels with the remainder in stainless steel tanks. Both batches went through malolactic fermentation. It was bottled for secondary fermentation in July 2016 and has matured on lees for 6 years.

A wine to accompany English summers and alfresco dining.

Bacchus is a distinctive, bright and fresh variety. Citrus, elderflower and honeysuckle notes, dry and crisp on the palate it pairs superbly with seafood, especially shellfish.

Our Bacchus may contain Tartrate crystals, also known as wine diamonds, which are harmless, naturally occurring crystalline deposits that form in wine when tartaric acid and potassium bind together.

Artelium Blank Canvas 2021 (6 Bottles) Streat, East Sussex, England

£185.00
by Wines by Cellars

A delicious, intentionally accessible style of wine with fruit purity at the fore. Those seeking layers of complexity will find them in the subtle minerality and refreshing acid structure that holds the wine together so well.

Pinot Gris offers all the elegance, fine-bubble texture and finesse of Artelium’s core range, but the use of Pinot Gris rather than the traditional varieties gives this wine a pear, peach and soft-citrus profile that is easy to drink and ever so moreish!
