The delicate colour is a true hallmark of the variety. This wine is packed full of character, the appealing aroma goes way beyond the traditional elderflower and honeysuckle notes that are common to Bacchus.

This Bacchus, as with all our wines and gins is suitable for vegetarians and vegans.

It's the perfect accompaniment for fresh or smoked seafood. Oysters, crab, prawns, scallops and fresh salmon all pair beautifully with our flint dry Bacchus. Try spring vegetable dishes such as English asparagus and broad beans – a perfect match and the grassy, fresh, nettle like herbaceous notes are a hit with creamy Goats cheese

Westwell Wine Ortega 2024 (6 Bottles) Westwell, Kent, England

£117.00

Free delivery with orders over £100

Our Ortega is a delicate, precisely made wine, which has been produced using a combination of natural and selected yeasts. This year’s vintage showcases everything we love about Ortega as a variety - a nose of tropical fruit and on the palate a herbal, saline finish.

Winemaker Adrian Pike explains "We were really proud of what we released last year, but quite simply, the 2023 vintage gave us riper fruit and that’s given all our releases a little more brightness and concentration of flavours, still with all the classic Westwell characteristics."

Westwell Ortega 2023 pairs perfectly with poultry, shellfish, soft cheeses and is also great on its own.

Closure: Screw Cap

Bottle Size: 75cl

Label: Features illustration of cut-through of Ortega vine stem under microscope.

Vegetarian & Vegan Designation: No animal products or derivatives have been used in the making of this wine.

Anthonij Rupert Wyne Protea Chenin Blanc 2024 (6 Bottles) Franschhoek, South Africa

£99.00
by Bancroft Wines

UK MAINLAND SHIPPING INCLUDED

Anthonij Rupert Wyne was founded on the farm, L’Ormarins in Franschhoek. Originally owned by the late Anthonij Rupert, who passed away in 2001, the farm was eventually taken over by his brother Johann Rupert in 2003 and the brand named after him. It was Johann Rupert who constructed a state-of-theart winemaking facility, catapulting the farm into a prestigious wine estate. The focus is on terroir specific wines and therefore it would seem obvious that the brand is made up of an impressive portfolio of farms representing the best in grape producing locations. The portfolio is made up of L’Ormarins from Franschhoek, Rooderust from Darling, Riebeeksrivier from the Swartland and Altima from isolated Elandskloof. Each site offers optimum varietal specific growing conditions, allowing Anthonij Rupert Wyne to adhere to the requirements of their different brands.

The nose reveals apricot and stone fruit aromas, with subtle hints of lemon and gravel. On the palate, it’s bright and vibrant, featuring a crisp, zesty acidity that’s perfectly balanced by ripe fruit flavours of apricot, melon, and quince. A lively touch of lemon zest adds a refreshing succulence. Light and refreshing, it’s irresistibly appealing, making you want to come back for more. An ideal choice for summer.
