Flint Vineyard Charmat Rosé (6 Bottles) Bungay, Norfolk, England

£132.00
by Wines by Cellars

UK MAINLAND SHIPPING INCLUDED

Our pinkest ever Charmat Rosé, with a fresh new design.

Characteristically Flint, our most popular wine is about as pink as it gets. The vibrant new label perfectly reflects this glorious expression of strawberry pink in the glass, coupled as always with mouthwatering upfront fruit flavours.

Our Charmat Rosé was the first of its kind to be produced in the UK. Made using the Charmat method that requires secondary fermentation in tank rather than bottle. The wine is uniquely English – fruity, vibrant, sassy and fun!

Fizzing with the flavours of summer. Fresh strawberries, tart redcurrants and ripe cherries.

The palate offers the mouth-watering and crunchy acidity of fleshy pink grapefruit and a hint of creaminess. A perfect aperitif for the final days of summer.

To green and pleasant!

Like its award-winning predecessors, this English sparkling wine is led by Chardonnay grown on greensand for purity, structure and raciness. Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier planted in clay soils give texture, smokiness and va-va-voom.

Elegant, rounded and astonishingly fresh, this is a gently matured vintage wine. Drink now or store in your cellar for future to drink now or place in your cellar for future festivities.

Penn Croft Sparkling Rosé 2020 (6 Bottles) Crondall, Hampshire, England

£392.00

A delightfully delicate nose of wild strawberry, shortbread, citrus zest and faint red berries. Copper pink and pale in appearance, our Sparkling Rosé balances generous texture with a fine mousse. Embracing purity and precision, this debut rosé is a detailed, small-batch, low-intervention wine.

Our winemaking embraces purity, texture and balance. A detailed, small-batch, low-intervention approach allows the fruit to shine through.

"Made at contract winery Itasca by Ben Smith, who was responsible for making my highest scoring English wine of all time (2018 Oxney Chardonnay), I have no problem declaring that this is the UK’s finest Pinot Blanc to date.

The fruit comes from the Missing Gate Vineyard in Essex, where it was hand-picked and whole bunch pressed into third fill Burgundy barrels. I was lucky enough to taste a bottle late last year, and it is as lively and energetic as any white wine you will taste.

A low sulphur regime and minimal fining have left the beautiful fruit to romance your senses. This is a truly brilliant wine with sensational depth, complexity and length. It is not slippery and smooth like an Alsatian PB, but grainy, combative and textural like an epic Chablis. It is nothing short of stunning, and it is certainly the epitome of brave winemaking."
