Under the leadership of Chief Winemaker Jeremy McKenzie, the winery continues to build its reputation for award winning Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Noir but is also producing world class Chardonnay. Recognised and awarded, the estate has won. All fruit is estate grown from the 54 hectares of vines, most of which are now organic.
This Chardonnay is a powerful and complex wine displaying notes of gunsmoke, white peach, and nectarine, with hints of lemon and lime. The palate shows roasted almond and brioche notes with an underlying grapefruit citrus note giving the wine length and vibrancy. Mineral. Domaine d`Altugnac, Origines Rosé Turitelles 2024 (6 Bottles) Languedoc-Roussillon, France
UK MAINLAND SHIPPING INCLUDED
Childhood friends Christian Collovray and Jean-Luc Terrier each grew up in a family of winemakers and shared a bond from a young age. Following the success of Domaine des Deux Roches, in 1997 Christian and Jean-Luc branched out from Mâcon and purchased land in the southwest of the Languedoc in Limoux. This site benefits from an elevation of up to 500 meters, thereby moderating the Mediterranean climate. The shallow, limestone-based soils are ideal for Pinot Noir and Chardonnay.
Hailing from the high-altitude vineyards of the Vallée de l’Aude in the Languedoc, this wine takes its name—Turitelles—from the distinctive cone-shaped marine fossils scattered throughout the soils, lending a vibrant, mineral-driven edge. On the palate, it bursts with crunchy red berries and juicy peach, finishing with an ultra-light, refreshing crispness.
12.5% ABV, Vegan Friendly.
