Plumpton Estate Brut Reserve is a powerful blend of Reising,
Seyval Blanc, Pinot Blanc and Regner. The base wine is
fermented in tank, then again once in bottle. This wine has
been aged for five years on lees to infuse pronounced
tertiary aromas. The unique blend of several varieties
produces a one-of-a-kind, alternative wine to traditional
method champagne varietal wines.

This structured still Chardonnay comes from a single-vineyard plot on our estate, Boot Hill Vineyard. It is bold, with rounded fruit flavours and a toasty, nutty character.
A bold, intense nose full of ripe lemon, peach and tropical fruits notes, alongside something floral and a toasted savoury note. On the palate, the wine is soft, rich and textural, with ripe citrus, tropical and stone fruits, green apple, lime cordial and yellow plum. As the wine opens up flavours of toasted nuts, forest floor and a distinct peppery note come through. The wine feels muscular and structured, with beautiful weight and balance on the finish.

Bacchus grapes are particularly well suited to our High Weald terroir, and produce a fresh, aromatic, crisp white wine. This 2023 vintage shows all the benefits of the long hot summer in the UK last year and is slightly more rounded and nuanced than our previous vintages, with strong aromas of pear and gooseberry on the nose and palate and with a deliciously smooth finish. This distinct Pinot Noir is the follow-up to the 2020 vintage which was awarded the Best Red Wine, Best Still Wine and Best Regional Wine in the UK at the 2023 WineGB awards. Hailing from the flawless 2022 vintage, this follow has already won Gold at the WineGB Awards before it was even released.
2022 was a long, dry and hot summer, with perfect ripening conditions here in our South Devon vineyard, with harvest taking place from mid-September to mid-October. All grapes were hand-picked and bought back to the winery, where we cold macerated them for two days, with 35% whole bunch and the rest crushed and de-stemmed before spontaneously fermenting on skins for 10-days. 35% of the wine was then matured in third and fourth-fill French oak barrels for between 18-24 months and some remained in stainless steel and was bottled without filtration.
The nose has elevated red fruit, wild strawberry, red currant, and cherry with a touch of spice and subtle oak. The palate is bright and concentrated with more red berries, that are then supported with a mouth-watering acidity, soft tannins and a long and complex finish.
