Dark fruit; dense, smoky, with a cooked-fruit richness. Blackberries and rust. A touch of bacon and sweet pork fat. The tannins are broad, but supple – chestnut skins and gentle friction.

Fermented on skins for three weeks and aged in a mix of both new and aged American and Hungarian oak barrels for twelve months. Aromas of vanilla, cinnamon and hints of white pepper spice. Small parcels of our home vineyard Chardonnay were carefully selected across three exceptional vintages and gently pressed in whole bunches. Predominantly barrel fermented in a combination of old and new, toasted
Burgundy and Loire oak barrels, a small selection of base wines also underwent malolactic conversion. Following secondary bottle fermentation in our naturally cool, underground cellars, our second-release Oak Reserve then spent 60 months on lees before disgorging, with six months on cork to complete its journey.

This is a still wine version of our Blanc de Noirs sparkling wine – a white wine made from red grapes! It has a delightful pale onion-skin hue and is intense and forward on the nose with notes of pomegranate, red cherry and mulberry. In the mouth, the wine is smooth and exceptionally well balanced with bone dry crisp acidity and notable minerality. Great to drink on its own or with food.
