Every year, we release a small number of late-disgorged wines. These are particularly luxurious and fine thanks to a special winemaking technique.
If you’re already familiar with Dom Perignon’s Plénitude or Bollinger’s RD, then you know the magical combination of freshness allied with delicious flavours of brioche, cream, butter and toast that characterise late-disgorged wines.
But how does this kind of ageing alchemy happen? The answer lies in the lees.

Berkshire Breeze is the ultimate crowd-pleaser. Made with Madeleine Angevine grapes and natural peach flavour, this refreshing drink perfectly combines the soft, delicious character of ripe peach with a crisp, citrusy profile. Very flavoursome, with a medium body, a fleshy finish and a slightly off-dry character. Vegan friendly.
Best served very chilled. Delightful on its own, or for an extra refreshing twist, serve it over ice with a sprig of mint and a slice of fresh peach. Great also as a cocktail ingredient and for a spritz. Perfect alongside vibrant green salads, grilled fish and fruit tart.
This aromatised wine-based drink is made with Madeleine Angevine grapes fermented at a low temperature in stainless-steel vessels to retain the delicate floral characteristics. Aged for a few months in neutral vessels before release, and then aromatised with natural peach essence.
The bottle has no plastic or metal capsule to avoid unnecessary packaging. A simpler look for a more sustainable future!

Sandridge Barton Bacchus 2022 (6 Bottles) Stoke Gabriel, Devon, England

The first Bacchus in our Sandridge Barton range offers up a broader and richer expression. Whole-bunched pressed Bacchus, fermented in both stainless steel and third-fill oak barrels before being matured for a further 8 months in old French oak barrels for maturation. The wine is unfiltered and has spend a further 10 months in bottle prior to release.
The palate is alive and bursting with lemon pith, melon and kiwi flavours, lifted by a lime-like acidity and some subtle oak tannin. This dry, textual and broad Bacchus shows a different side to UK's fourth most planted grape variety.

This Chardonnay and Seyval Blanc based sparkling wine is quintessentially English; an English garden in a glass! The ripe chardonnay from the endless summer of 2018 blends seamlessly with autolytic pastry notes formed over 5 years of lees ageing in bottle. On the palate, the wine is full of ripe citrus fruit with a backbone of crisp, mineral acidity holding everything together.
A slight salinity and pithiness in the mouth makes this wine perfect for enjoying with seafood such as oysters or even good old fish and chips. Drink from now or leave under cork for the next couple of years and let the wine become even toastier and more opulent.

Settimo Pizzolato is the fifth generation of grower at the estate, a man full of charisma and innovative wisdom. This structured still Chardonnay comes from a single-vineyard plot on our estate, Boot Hill Vineyard. It is bold, with rounded fruit flavours and a toasty, nutty character.
A bold, intense nose full of ripe lemon, peach and tropical fruits notes, alongside something floral and a toasted savoury note. On the palate, the wine is soft, rich and textural, with ripe citrus, tropical and stone fruits, green apple, lime cordial and yellow plum. As the wine opens up flavours of toasted nuts, forest floor and a distinct peppery note come through. The wine feels muscular and structured, with beautiful weight and balance on the finish.

It has attractive floral aromas of acacia, elderflower and citrus blossom along with Sicilian lemons and chalky minerality.
The palate is crisp, dry and exceedingly refreshing with flavours of freshly squeezed lemons, grapefruit, lemongrass and salty minerality on the finish. It shows very pure varietal expression with exquisitely refined structure and definite poise.
Perfect for celebrations, serve well-chilled as an aperitif alongside shellfish canapés such as oysters, mussels or cockles. Great with flat fish such as lemon sole véronique, turbot, brill or dabs. This exceptional value for money English Sparkling Wine won gold at the recent WineGB 2023 Awards. Blending together the three traditional "Champagne" varieties, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier, from 2014, 2015 and 2016 vintages, our NV Sparkling Cuvée was left to age in bottle for two years on its lees.
