This Ruby red wine displays a vibrant deep red color with a delicate purple hue. On the nose, enticing aromas of Doris plum and a hint of cinnamon emerge, layered over a subtle smoky core.
The palate unfolds with flavors of red summer berries, complemented by intriguing notes of liquorice and lavender. A crisp acidity introduces the wine, leading to a medium-bodied profile with fine, silky tannins and a lingering finish of violets and ripe berries.

Hungerhill Merstone Bacchus 2023 (6 Bottles) Bedford, Bedfordshire, England

Our Bacchus is made from hand-picked grapes, harvested in early October 2023, the Bacchus grapes from Suffolk, Essex, Oxfordshire and Hungerhill Vineyard were gently pressed in our winery. The pale lemon juice was Fermented in stainless steel tanks and aged in a third vintage oak barrel from Burgundy, before being bottled in May 2024. The wine is unfiltered, unfined and vegan friendly.
This white wine starts with a floral, citrus and elderflower nose and have aromas of citrus, grapefruit and peach. The Merstone Bacchus is refreshing on the palace and has a long finish.
Merstone Bacchus pairs perfectly with seafood, fish and chips dishes or can be enjoyed on its own.

Our ever-popular Pet Nat is back! A purely natural wine, fermented by natural yeasts with no added sulphites. It is a light, refreshing, slightly cloudy sparkling wine and is absolutely the perfect summer drink. We bottled during harvest while the wine was still frementing, keeping a light fizz in the bottle. It has a slight yeast sediment adding a great yeasty edge to the fruit aromas. The wine will gain yeasty aromas as it ages.
This is a natural wine in every way and is difficult to make, so we only use the best grapes available to us that we know will end up with the right flavours and balance in the wine.

Juicy, crunchy, vibrant Pinot Noir all held in an elegant, very ‘classic’ structure. Harvested from our vineyard in Wiltshire, this wine pairs perfectly with duck and lamb, or simply enjoy on its own. We recommend to serve this wine on the colder side of room temperature. Some English red wines offer a better taste when served chilled and this wine is no exception to that. However, if you prefer your wine wines on the warmer side this wine can do either.
