More cranberry than strawberry, this is classic Balfour; dry, precise and powerful. Richer than some of its predecessors, the 2019 reflects one of the best years in English viticultural history. A complex wine that is more than just primary fruit, there are notes of burnt orange combined with a wonderful herbaceous note on the finish.
Balfour Brut Rosé is one of England’s most recognisable wines, our flagship, and for six years the only wine made by Balfour. It is a single-vineyard wine from our Oast House Meadow vineyard, planted in 2002 with clones and rootstocks specifically chosen to make a world-class sparkling rosé.

A new experimental wine. The grapes were sourced from nearby Essex. They are destemmed and fermented using indigenous yeast and then pressed into an old burgundy barrels. The wine was aged for a total of 7 months with frequent lees stirring.This unusual and fun wine is expressive and textured, showcasing aromas of tropical and stone fruit, hints of dried citrus fruits and white pepper.

A lovely nose of soft apple blossom and gentle apricot lead to a palate that is just dry but deliciously fresh and easy to get along with. El Convertido is based in the central Spanish region Castilla‑La Mancha, known as one of Spain’s largest and most important wine-producing areas. Its vineyards lie on the central plateau (the Meseta Central), a wide, relatively flat region at moderate altitude with hot summers and cold winters — ideal conditions for the varieties grown there. As part of the broader La Mancha D.O. zone, El Convertido shares in a viticultural tradition that spans hundreds of thousands of hectares of vineyards across Castilla-La Mancha.

A stark contrast to our core pinot noir, Nightjar, both in style and character, “Trouble Every Day” is made from a single pinot noir clone chosen for its exceptional flavour and structure. The grapes were hand picked and sorted in the vineyard and transported to our Battersea winery. Fermented naturally in small open top fermenters and aged in Burgundy oak barrels.
The wine expresses autumnal fruits, such as blackberry, bramble, black cherries and intense spice notes. The wine is refined, yet has crunchy tannins and length. Unfined and unfiltered.
