The 2019 vintage began with abundant sunshine, a record-hot Easter, and a warm, wet summer. Despite challenges, careful vineyard management yielded clean, flavourful grapes. Divico is a new grape variety in England specifically developed to create a rich, fruit-forward red wine in our cool climate. Our third harvest yielded 356 bottles. The wine is deep red in colour with aromas of blackberry, blackcurrant, tinned plums and sweet spice. The palate is full bodied with crunchy red fruit and vanilla toffee, polished tannins and a bright finish. Our winemaker thinks this wine is a 'bit of a cracker' with good potential to age.
This limited edition wine is hand labelled, individually numbered and signed. It comes in a gift bag with a detailed tech sheet.
