Ortega is an early ripening variety for the UK, which allows us to leave the grapes hanging on the vine as long as possible to achieve the optimum balance of fruit and acid. This is a dry, lightly oaked wine with subtle red apple and elderflower flavours and a hint of vanilla. The style is dry, alcohol 11% and its vegan friendly.
Coolhurst Demi-Sec Rosé Vintage 2017 (6 Bottles) Horsham, West Sussex, England

2017 was a cracking vintage for Pinot Noir. A pale salmon colour with a fine mousse, this is a off-dry wine. The sweetness is subtle, carried by bags of red fruit, cranberries, rhubarb and strawberries on the front palate, and pronounced Pinot Noir character on the finish.
The profile is a natural partner for desserts and provides a wonderful counter to rich salty foods, cheeses and even spice.
This is an extremely limited production of less than 1200 bottles. Our first release, the 2016, sold out in under 3 weeks following a silver medal at The Champagne and Sparkling Wine World Championships 2020! This 2017 scored 91 points in the Tim Atkin MW England 2022 Special Wine Report, described as “expansive, subtle with herbal, raspberry and blossom notes, it continues to be the afternoon-tea wine of choice!”

Domaine de Cantagrils were among the first to plant and cultivate Piquepoul in 1983. The terroir of the domaine is characterised by beautiful red soils, with plots originally planted amongst an orchard of almond trees. Situated in the north of Picpoul de Pinet AOC, there is a strong continental influence, rather than maritime, with more humid morning fog, higher rainfall and warmer temperatures, which has a pleasant ripening impact on the fruit.
A delicate golden colour in classic Picpoul style, the bouquet of the wine is composed of ripe exotic fruits, sweet spices and anise, and light, clean and sleek minerality, and a certain zippiness.

The 2019 vintage began with abundant sunshine, a record-hot Easter, and a warm, wet summer. Despite challenges, careful vineyard management yielded clean, flavourful grapes. The blend includes 11% barrel-fermented wine and 12% aged reserve wines, with four years on lees for added complexity. Perfect for celebrations, it pairs beautifully with canapés and laughter. Solaris is the main variety planted on our 5 acre vineyard in Shropshire. Our sandy site lies over the local Cardeston rock, which gives us our unique terroir and helps emphasise our fruit driven style.
