This Bacchus is pale gold in appearance, with notes of elderflower and stone fruit on the nose. Peach, pear and guava are at the forefront of the palate, with hints of minerality, giving it a long, clean and crisp finish. Raimes Demi Sec 92 points "A Charming beautifully poised demi-sec sparkler from Raimes of South Downs. Bruised apple over a savoury tone of yeast. Partial ageing in oak followed by 42 months on lees gave the 2017 vintage a concentrated, textured palate of red apple, brioche and umami... The well-balanced red fruit sweetness comes from 34 g/l of sugar offset by 10g/l of acid with more weight and hazelnuts on the finish. Moreish and long.

This signature vintage wine is our classic blend of 50% Pinot Noir, 35% Chardonnay and 15% Pinot Meunier aged for a minimum of 24 months on its’ yeast lees. This wine presents aromas of red fruits, buttery brioche and almonds on the nose perfectly balanced with juicy nectarine, baked apples, and our signature flint minerality on the finish.
This food friendly wine would be a perfect partner to smoked fish, roast chicken or creamy risotto dishes.

Light and bright colour with golden reflections. Very expressive nose that awakens aromas of citrus, fruit and Mediterranean herbs. In the mouth it is very fresh, with a vibrant acidity, and very elegant.

NECTAR FROM A DIFFERENT HECTARE
As if we didn’t know well enough how tiny our vineyard is, the wine this time comes from another family owned estate; of 250 hectares! Perez Cruz Reserva Cabernet Sauvignon 2018 is an absolute belter.
This unique eco-friendly winery is found in the Maipo Andes in Chile and, as much as we are seen as rosé specialists, so they are considered red experts. This region, at around 500m above sea level, is considered to be one of the most sought after areas to grow Cabernet Sauvignon. As ours are, their vines are trained on a double guyot system and have a long ripening season eventually being harvested by hand. The big difference is that, in the middle bit, they get plenty of sunshine!
A bit of an ‘under the radar’ wine, this has intense ripe red fruits with sweet vanilla (it spends a year in oak), black pepper, wild herbs and figs. The palate is creamy and concentrated with enough grip for food but the balanced acidity and soft tannins are also perfect for a liquid supper watching a movie in front of the fire. Perfect wine for roast dinner. It’s vegan friendly too….
