This is the eighth release of our best and most acclaimed sparkling rosé wine. Made with 100% Pinot Noir grapes which were lovingly hand picked from our Monkshatch plot at the end of the first week of October 2019.
Two thirds of the grapes were crushed and destemmed and soaked for two hours prior to pressing to obtain the lovely light ‘salmon pink’ colour before fermentation in stainless steel tanks.
One third of the grapes were whole bunch pressed with the base wine (using only the Cuvée) fermented and aged in used oak barrels. Both batches went through malolactic fermentation.

This 100% Pinot Blanc is an exciting wine with a complex nose of cake batter and jasmine. On the palate, white pears balance with the soft, oak-imparted, notes of lightly toasted almonds. Our 2018 ‘Alwyn’ Classic Cuvée is named after a Saxon nobleman and first known resident of the original Saxon manor of Chilworth. Pale straw in colour, the 2018 vintage abounds with toasty brioche notes on the nose and delivers a warm and rich mid-palate depth with a long and perfectly balanced finish.
It can be enjoyed as an aperitif as well as an accompaniment to a meal.

This sparkling rosé is made from 100% Pinot Noir grapes including some Pinot Précoce, a variety that ripens early which balances the acidity of the wine with ripe summer fruit flavours.
