Ashdown Boundary Block is made from 100% Merlot grapes. Aged in old oak barrels for 19 months. Light to medium bodied with a ruby to garnet hue. On the nose aromas of plum, blackcurrant, blackberry, almond, rhubarb, Cherry Bakewell and vanilla leading to flavors of cooked cherries, black currant jam, vanilla, cranberries and blackberries.
It is smooth with a good length. Its tannin structure is well balanced and delicate, while still delivering an intense and complex taste. Enjoy this wine with roast beef, mushroom risotto, or game dishes. Well-balanced acidity and medium body create a crisp, lively texture that carries to a refreshing finish. Pairs perfectly with shellfish, fresh salads, and a variety of cheeses.

Made entirely from our own grown Pinot varieties, this wine is a mix of 45% Pinot Noir (mix of clones), 40% Pinot Noir Precoce and 15% Pinot Meunier. With our warm summer of 2022 the result is an intoxicating aroma of red summer fruit produce.
On the mouth the first taste is distinctly of ripe raspberries and loganberries followed by pomegranate and perhaps some red currant. The wine leaves a smooth and rounded finish. This is well balanced and a delight to drink on a summer’s afternoon – with or without food!

The art: Just as Nutbourne wines are only made from grapes grown on the estate, every bottle features Bridget Gladwin’s paintings. Juicy, crunchy, vibrant Pinot Noir all held in an elegant, very ‘classic’ structure. Concentrated brambles (blackberry) and black cherry, damson fruit overlaid with quintessential Pinot perfumed aromatics and subtle dry spice. Subtle fennel and violet give further aromatic complexity and intrigue. Medium-light, chalky tannins give the wine great texture, acidity is refreshing but well-integrated and harmonious. Even once he made waves with his Priorat wines, Álvaro’s pioneering spirit never wavered. In 1997, Álvaro and his nephew Ricardo Pérez Palacios were seduced by the undiscovered potential of the Bierzo region in north-western Spain, a place then better known for agriculture and its gold mining past. Corullón, at an altitude of almost 1000 meters and lies on a tectonic fault. This combination of altitude, old vines and complex geology gives an incredibly intricate, ethereal and spell-binding wine.
It`s clearly more Mediterranean, with notes of rockrose and other aromatic herbs, juicy and round, more fruit-driven, aromatic, velvety and very pleasant and easy to drink. - Luis Gutierrez 93 points
