Oastbrook Estate White Pinot Noir 2023 (6 Bottles) Robertsbridge, Kent, England

The wine presents a light gold colour, with subtle red fruit aromas strawberry and red cherries with a hint of acacia and black pepper, this leads to delicioulsy rounded succulent palate balanced by beautifully clean acidity. The wine somehow both cleanses and envelopes on the finish.
100% Pinot Noir, the grapes from our vineyard were handpicked, and pressed in October. After low temperature fermentation to accentuate the thiol aromas the wine was left in tank over winter but not allowed to go to malolactic fermentation, the juice was very clear and required minimal fining and developed a rich aroma of red fruits with a soft creamy palate with crisp acidity. The wine was bottled in March 2024.

This Ditchling Red is 100% Pinot Noir, light fruity style, has aged in old French barrels for 6 months. A soft and fruity red; smooth acidity and light tannic structure with warming red fruit aromas with lots of blackcurrants, cherry and spice on the palate. A more full-bodied style with lemon rind, elderflower, toasted pine and yoghurt aromas. The palate is rounded and full with soft oak tannin, more rich yellow fruits and a touch of oak spice. 100% whole-bunch-pressed Madeleine Angevine that was spontaneously fermented in stainless steel and then matured in both steel and old French oak for 9 months before being bottled with no filtration.
This wine is part of our new Don't Feed The Ponies range of more experimental wines, a reference to a campaign on Dartmoor National Park to discourage visitors from feeding the wild horses that roam there. The source of the River Dart begins way up in the heart of the moors, and it's the river that influences how our grapes grow. For every bottle purchased from this range, we'll donate 25p to the Dartmoor Preservation Association to preserve the natural habitat.

he 2019 Blanc de Noirs is an almost equal blend of Pinot Noir and Meunier at 51% and 49% respectively, with a small addition of 3% reserve wine.
It was bottled in September 2020 and disgorged in November 2023, thus spending more than our minimum of three years on lees for our sparkling white wines. It has now spent over a year on cork, which has given us confidence, after tasting of course, that it is in a sweet spot and ready to be released and enjoyed.

Style: Grown in polytunnels, so more full bodied than a typical English red.

Deep ruby in colour, with aromas of pepper, dark berries and spice. The palate is medium bodied with gentle tannins and a slight earthiness, flavours of stewed dark fruits and spices. The perfect wine for more full flavoured meat and mushroom based dishes.
Winemakers Notes: A cheats wine in many ways! In our climate we can not ripen either Merlot or Cabernet Sauvignon as they simply ripen too late, so the grapes for this are grown under cover. The blend is 60% Merlot, 40% Cabernet, the grapes are fermented with daily pump overs to extract more colour, depth and body. Towards the end of the fermentation the grapes are pressed and transferred to a mixture of French oak barrels where they remain for over a year. The wine is then bottled unfined and unfiltered.
