Makarounas Winery is a family winery located on the beautiful village of Letymbou, a region with a long tradition in vine growing. Letymbou is located 14 kilometres east of the city of Pafos, on the west coast of Cyprus, and the Makarounas family have a viticultural history dating back four generations in the region. Makarounas Winery has the privilege of being the only winery in Cyprus that sources grapes solely from their privately-owned vineyards. The winery produces wines of ample power but with excellent drinkability, with a focus on indigenous grape varieties of Cyprus and organic viticulture.
This 100% Xynisteri is own-rooted bush vines ranging from 20-101 years old. The wine bursts with the flavour of preserved lemons, seasalt, and fresh citrus.

Gardner Street has the classic floral, elderflower note we have come to know of contemporary Bacchus, married with a touch of ripe stone fruit from the barrel fermented Chardonnay.
Sourced from vineyard partners in Essex and Kent we harvested the vineyard parcels separately and fermented as small lots to allow the expression of their respective sites to shine through. 30% of the blend was fermented in neutral 300L French oak barrels and
allowed to go through malolactic fermentation, while the remaining parcels were fermented at cool temperatures in stainless steel and did not go through malolactic fermentation.

Inspired by our home and delicately pale to look at, this still wine blend of the traditional champagne varieties (Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunier, Chardonnay) shows just what English rosé is capable of. Brimming with delicious summer berry and a zesty freshness, from clay Hush Heath vineyards are ideally suited to create this soft, delicate dry style – the character of the wine echoes the beautiful English summer fruit orchards which inspired it. Just five rows of grapes were left to ripen into October and hand-picked by our family. Fermented on their skins, pressed off and partially oaked in a third fill barrel from Tonnellerie de Champagne.
Colour: Medium red colour, crimson
Nose: Dried cherry, 5 spice, earthy, roasted coffee and liquorice
Palate: Sweet fruit entry, medium bodied, silky tanin making for an elegant overall structure. Raspberry and red plum lift give it a long, fragrant finish.
