Another example of how this magnificent grape can taste different (again) in another climate or from a different terroir. This has enough ‘classic chard’ to please traditionalists, but real intrigue via lemon and mountain herb notes to interest the keenest of inquisitive palettes. A brilliantly food-friendly, aromatic dry white wine with hints of tropical fruit.
Star-bright medium lemon with good legs. Ripe stone fruits of peach and nectarine mingle with passion-flower and lime-blossom alongside kiwifruit and exotic mandarin. Tropical fruits explode on the palate including pineapple, mango and guava with a touch of lime zest and gooseberry fool.
Very subtle oak integration gives a hint of vanilla and coconut on the finish. It has a slightly richer, creamy mouthfeel and well-balanced acidity with lingering flavours that pack quite a fruity punch.

Excellent served chilled with oriental Thai chicken green curry or aromatic Asian fish stew infused with lemongrass, ginger and kaffir lime. Enjoy it with oven-roasted whole fish such as sea bass or sea bream cooked ‘en papillotte’ with herbs such as coriander or parsley. Also good with Mediterranean vegetables and stuffed vine-leaves. Or try it with oven-baked camembert with rosemary dunked in chunks of artisan bread.

On the back of the hot summer of 2022, we left a further 689 vines of Solaris to ripen further. 28 days after harvesting our main Solaris crop, the berries turned a wonderful golden brown and started to dehydrate on the vine.
Packed full of banana & toffee flavours, lifted with some floral notes and held together with a refreshing acidity. This dessert wine pairs perfectly with some Shropshire Blue cheese.
