This comes from the exceptional vintage of 2022, the first time we’ve been able to get the required ripeness in the fruit to make a still Pinot Gris to go alongside our iconic sparkling Pinot Gris. This still certainly does not disappoint.

The Afanc: a mythical beast who slinks in the depths of a Welsh mountain lake. It is said to prey upon any foolish enough to fall into its pristine waters.
This is a blend of aromatic white varietals, Phoenix, Reichensteiner and Schönburger, from our 22 year old vineyard in Pen-y-Clawdd.

A concentrated and polished English Pinot Noir from our Sussex vineyards. The 2023 vintage is a classic: juicy, crunchy, vibrant and all held in an elegant structure.
Juicy, crunchy, vibrant Pinot Noir all held in an elegant, very ‘classic’ structure. Concentrated brambles (blackberry) and black cherry, damson fruit overlaid with quintessential Pinot perfumed aromatics and subtle dry spice. Subtle fennel and violet give further aromatic complexity and intrigue.
Medium-light, chalky tannins give the wine great texture, acidity is refreshing but well-integrated and harmonious. Long, complete finish with all components pulling-together to the end.
The Burgundy clones used lend this wine perfumed aromatics and subtle dry spice. At home alongside seasonal game or earthy, slow-cooked vegetarian dishes. Suitable to drink now but has potential to age for a further five years.

Bluebell Ashdown Merlot 2020 (6 Bottles) Furners Green, East Sussex, England

Ashdown Boundary Block is made from 100% Merlot grapes. Aged in old oak barrels for 19 months. Light to medium bodied with a ruby to garnet hue. On the nose aromas of plum, blackcurrant, blackberry, almond, rhubarb, Cherry Bakewell and vanilla leading to flavors of cooked cherries, black currant jam, vanilla, cranberries and blackberries.
It is smooth with a good length. Its tannin structure is well balanced and delicate, while still delivering an intense and complex taste. Enjoy this wine with roast beef, mushroom risotto, or game dishes. Well-balanced acidity and medium body create a crisp, lively texture that carries to a refreshing finish. Pairs perfectly with shellfish, fresh salads, and a variety of cheeses.

Cielo e Terra has dual roots in the Veneto region: the Cielo family and the winemakers of the Cantine dei Colli Berici. The Cielo family’s bond with the land dates back to 1908 in the Vicenza countryside, near the Castles of Romeo and Juliet, where the great-grandfather had bought Casa Defrà, a small farm with a vineyard. They enjoy making wines with passion and innovation to create signature versions of traditional Italian wines, looking for the right balance between personality and easy-drinking.
This wine reveals a delicate light pink hue, reflecting its fresh and vibrant character. The bouquet is lively and persistent, offering inviting fruity aromas with notes of pineapple and strawberry. On the palate, it is soft and slightly mineral, delivering a well-rounded, balanced profile. This is a perfect and exact blend between Pinot Noir, chosen for its red fruits aroma, its body, depth of flavour and fullness, and Pinot Meunier, our favourite, for its aromatic sweetness, a lush fruitiness and the capacity to acquire the roundness of age comparatively rapidly. The Pinot Noir grape provides the back-bone of our wine, whilst the Pinot Meunier lends softeners and orchard fruit aromas. A beautifully rich golden colour as well as an intense nose with red fruit aromas, such as red cherry, cranberry and redcurrant, are enticing us to take a first sip. A hint of strawberry lingers in the background. A creamy, full mouthfeel contributes to a very long finish. Ideal served on its own as an aperitif or try it alongside a quiche Lorraine or Parma ham.
