A lower alcohol sparkling wine made by classic bottle fermentation, from the second pressing of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir grapes. This is a light joyous drink with a hint of strawberries and raspberries, delicate and tangy with a soft blush tint.
Produced as a simple, young, natural wine made with minimal interference, fermented to 10% alcohol, Nutty Wild is for quaffing with friends and pairs well with summer berries. A great drink for barbecues and buffets, it is an “anytime” easy drinking fizz to make you smile.

NECTAR FROM A DIFFERENT HECTARE
As if we didn’t know well enough how tiny our vineyard is, the wine this time comes from another family owned estate; of 250 hectares! Perez Cruz Reserva Cabernet Sauvignon 2018 is an absolute belter.
This unique eco-friendly winery is found in the Maipo Andes in Chile and, as much as we are seen as rosé specialists, so they are considered red experts. This region, at around 500m above sea level, is considered to be one of the most sought after areas to grow Cabernet Sauvignon. As ours are, their vines are trained on a double guyot system and have a long ripening season eventually being harvested by hand. The big difference is that, in the middle bit, they get plenty of sunshine!
A bit of an ‘under the radar’ wine, this has intense ripe red fruits with sweet vanilla (it spends a year in oak), black pepper, wild herbs and figs. The palate is creamy and concentrated with enough grip for food but the balanced acidity and soft tannins are also perfect for a liquid supper watching a movie in front of the fire. Perfect wine for roast dinner. It’s vegan friendly too….

A lovely nose of soft apple blossom and gentle apricot lead to a palate that is just dry but deliciously fresh and easy to get along with. The apricot follows on from the nose and is combined with rounded citrus fruits – mainly subtle orange and lemon. Produced from Ortega grapes, this wine is just great on its own but will work very well with white fish dishes and salads.

Ashdown Boundary Block is made from 100% Merlot grapes. Aged in old oak barrels for 19 months. Light to medium bodied with a ruby to garnet hue. On the nose aromas of plum, blackcurrant, blackberry, almond, rhubarb, Cherry Bakewell and vanilla leading to flavors of cooked cherries, black currant jam, vanilla, cranberries and blackberries.
It is smooth with a good length. Its tannin structure is well balanced and delicate, while still delivering an intense and complex taste. The Fernández family were grocers in Madrid when they decided to set this biodynamic estate up from scratch. Their objective was always to make accessible, easy to drink biodynamic wines and what they’ve achieved in 10 years is nothing short of impressive. High on a gently rolling plateau they built a purpose made winery cleverly laid out to facilitate collecting the grapes and making and storing the wine as efficiently as possible. The 100 hectares of vineyards are planted with many varieties but their Syrah, Tempranillo, Chardonnay and Viognier really stick out.
This Sauvignon Blanc is robust and bold. It has aromas of tropical fruit, bruised apple, brazil nut and dried orange rind. This amber wine is at the cross roads of a red wine for its tannins and a white wine for its good acidity.
