Llanerch Blush Sparkling Rosé (6 Bottles) Pontyclun, Vale of Glamorgan, Wales
UK MAINLAND SHIPPING INCLUDED
Llanerch Estate Blush Sparkling is crafted from Seyval Blanc and Triomphe grape free-run juice. The Triomphe imparts a delicate red hint, infusing this sparkling wine with the essence of British summertime —ripe berries and a pale pink hue. Consistently awarded and produced as a vintage, each year offers delightful variations.
The aroma captivates with biscuit, ripe summer berries, and a hint of green apple skins. The palate bursts with ripe British summer berries, refreshing acidity, and a slightly zesty finish, lingering memorably.
Astley Madeleine Angevine (6 Bottles) Stourport-on-Severn, Worcestershire, England
UK MAINLAND SHIPPING INCLUDED
Planted in 1979, our Madeleine Angevine produces soft & rich wines. This warm vintage is a stark contrast to the last - big, rich & bold.
Wine GB West Awards Silver Medal: "Citrus, spicy, nuttiness, blossom, apple on nose. Apple, white peach - juicy on palate."
Made of: 90% Madeleine Angevine, 7% Bacchus, 3% Siegerrebe
Tastes of: Spiced peach, Apple & blossom.
Sweetness: Dry
Acidity: Medium
Thanks to the incredibly warm summer, the 2022 is rich, spicy & soft. Perhaps our favourite vintage yet! Tastes of spiced peach, with Madeleine's tell-tale floral touch. Drink alongside rich white meats & root vegetables.
Astley Freya Sparkling Sec (6 Bottles) Stourport-on-Severn, Worcestershire, England
UK MAINLAND SHIPPING INCLUDED
Freya is our delightfully drinkable sparkling wine. Made entirely from Kerner, this semi-sweet (13g/L), fruity sparkling wine is made for drinking with friends, or sharing at parties. Consistently a best seller, and always one of our favourite wines.
Made of: 100% Kerner
Tastes of: Ripe apple & shortbread
Sweetness: Semi sweet (13g/L - "Sec")
Acidity: High
Time on lees: 65 months/5 years
Disgorged: November 2024
Freya is a fun alternative to traditional sparkling wines. The joyous, but not sickly amount of residual sugar balances nicely against the naturally high acidity of Kerner. Interestingly, the residual sugar in this vintage is the result of the secondary fermentation (consistently) not finishing. The result is a fantastic, but casual sparkling wine that makes a great gift, or a delicious pairing with fruity desserts.
