Bodegas Frontonio is the passion project of Fernando Mora MW and oenologist Mario López. The winery is named after Saint Frontonio, the Patron Saint of the village. According to legend, Frontonio was beheaded by the Romans, his head found upstream after it had been thrown into the Ebro. Going against the current is at the heart of this project, hence the name Frontonio.
Pale lemon. Aromas of white blossom, lime peel and herbal notes. It offers a refreshing acidity and a moderate body in mouth. Precise and clean.

Robbing Red Breast is a beautiful red wine produced from Rondo Red grapes. A vibrant ruby red appearance with a hint of purple, an aromatic nose with notes of cherry, plum, and hints of spice, earth, and subtle oak. Medium-bodied with flavours of ripe cherry, blackcurrant, and plum, complemented by subtle hints of chocolate and spice. Winding Wood Brut Rosé 2020 (6 Bottles) Hungerford, Berkshire, England

This is our second release of sparkling rosé. Pressed, fermented, and bottled at Offbeat Wines by Daniel Ham, our winemaker. The grapes were hand-harvested and a whole bunch pressed. The wine underwent secondary fermentation in the bottle and then spent 18 months on its yeast lees and a further 6 months ‘on cork’. Released June 2023. This is a 100% pinot-based rosé — a departure from our first which contained a blend of chardonnay and pinot.

Ortega grapes ripen from the beginning of September – quite early for white grapes and therefore excellent in our rather damp Autumn climate.
It develops well in the bottle and produces wine of outstanding quality with a fine aroma reminiscent of peaches.

This is our sparkling Rosé, made with a blend of Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier grapes. Lovely on its own or with perhaps a few canapés, some charcuterie or smoked fish.
Monte del Frà Bardolino Chiaretto Rosé 2024 (6 Bottles) Veneto, Italy

Monte del Frà (meaning ‘land of the monks’) gets its name from the late 15th century, when a group of Friars formed a monastery on the land. Some hundred years later, the friars leased 25 hectares for the cultivation of vineyards and fruit trees. You can, in fact, still see this document today in the Vienna’s historic library. Fast forward several centuries, and Monte del Frà is now in the very capable hands of the Bonomo family. For over six decades the family have farmed this land, now resting firmly with the third generation; Marica, Silvia and Massimo Bonomo.
Delicate scents of berry fruits, raspberries, redcurrants, and wild flowers, accompanied by light and refreshing hints of green apples and by spicy tones, cinnamon, cloves and vanilla.
