Missing Gate Sauvignon Blanc 2022 (6 Bottles) Chelmsford, Hampshire, England
UK MAINLAND SHIPPING INCLUDED
Only a few English Sauvignon Blancs pass muster with me, and Missing Gate has shot into contention with its delightful, bright, and refreshing character. While the nose and palate are open and citrusy, the superb mid-palate depth and raspy, chalky finish remind me of top-flight Menetou-Salon! The extra dimension of fruit, adding gravitas to the core, is remarkable, and this comes from 80% of the wine being fermented in neutral 500L barrels with 20% going through malolactic fermentation and further lees ageing. These considered techniques add invaluable texture, making this wine complete. It is a glimpse of the future for this grape variety in the UK.
Missing Gate Pinot Blanc 2021 (6 Bottles) Chelmsford, Hampshire, England
UK MAINLAND SHIPPING INCLUDED
100% fermented in neutral Burgundy barrels, full malolactic fermentation followed by periodic lees stirring.
Complex nose with aromas of juicy stone fruits, hazelnut and citrus zest wrapped around a core of minerality. The palate is rich, poised and expressive, with great texture and balance. The finish is long and focused, with lingering flavours of ripe nectarine and crushed almonds.
Black Chalk Classic Sparkling White 2021 (6 Bottles) Andover, Hampshire, England
UK MAINLAND SHIPPING INCLUDED
A sophisticated blend of 50% Chardonnay, 38% Pinot Noir, and 12% Pinot Meunier, this wine embodies elegance and precision. The Chardonnay-led profile delivers a vibrant fruit focus, while a touch of malolactic fermentation adds a layer of richness and texture, perfectly balanced by the wine’s hallmark freshness.
On the palate, expect a textured and full-bodied experience, supported by bright acidity (8.5g/l) and subtle sweetness (5.4g/l residual sugar). The wine is aged for a minimum of 22 months on lees, enhancing complexity, with an additional 6 months on cork post-disgorgement to ensure perfect integration.
A versatile choice for any occasion. Enjoy as an aperitif with crisps and canapés, or elevate everyday dining by pairing with fried chicken. For a more refined match, complement its freshness and texture with shellfish such as oysters, crab, or prawns.

Our single estate Regent grapes grown here on the Jurassic Coast, sealed in tank with CO2 for a twenty-two day skin contact maceration to help break down the skins, followed by a wild fermentation.
Later blended with a portion of oak barrel fermented Triomphe D’Alsace to balance the acidity, and then bottled with approximately 10grams of sugar per litre which produces a second fermentation in bottle.
This produces a low intervention Sparkling Red wine that gives frizzante ‘little’ red bubbles!
Loganberry on the nose, a moreish taste of vanilla pods and blackberry fruit with red chocolate!
Col Fondo is a traditional Italian natural re-fermentation process in bottle: ‘Con il fondo’ translates literally to ‘with the bottom’ meaning sediment or lees is present; so if this bottle has been travelling we suggest you stand it up on it’s bottom in the fridge to rest a while before opening.
