Soft on the palate with a rich ruby colour, this blend of Pinot Noir and Rondo combines the best characteristics of classic English red wines.
The summer of 2018 left a legacy long after the long, warm summer days had faded and was well suited to producing a great harvest for reds. Nethercote Hill 2020 is a true reflection of this fantastic harvest. With light tannings, Oak undertones and a deliciously rich cherry hint on the pallet.
This wine pairs perfectly with lamb and other red meats, as well a being the perfect accompaniment to a traditional cheese board, or simply enjoy on its own. Best served at room temperature.

An English rarity that’s not to be missed, Balfour’s first ever Albariño release is a remarkable expression of the grape’s English potential. You’ll find a textbook zesty, citrus quality tempered by a slight saline minerality.
Described by noted wine writer, Henry Jefferies, as one of England’s “most important” wines, this new take on the Galician grape variety is not to be missed.
Three reasons to try;
1. Albariño is very much in vogue. It’s a superb alternative to fresh, fragrant styles of white wine – for those who love zesty Sauvignon Blanc, for instance.
2. Our first-ever release, this is a unique expression of the grape – and one of the only examples you’ll find in England. Taste a little bit of history.
3. Superb for summer; this is the perfect wine for the warmer months.
Winemaker’s Food Pairing: Fresh, fragrant and superb with seafood from our own shores – as a classic pairing. Or for those feeling a little more adventurous, this wine will pair will with the freshness of ceviche, and or the saltiness of feta. Alternatively, enjoy enjoy as an invigorating aperitif on a warm summer’s evening.

It is smooth with a good length. Its tannin structure is well balanced and delicate, while still delivering an intense and complex taste. Winding Wood Brut Rosé 2020 (6 Bottles) Hungerford, Berkshire, England

This is our second release of sparkling rosé. Pressed, fermented, and bottled at Offbeat Wines by Daniel Ham, our winemaker. The grapes were hand-harvested and a whole bunch pressed. The wine underwent secondary fermentation in the bottle and then spent 18 months on its yeast lees and a further 6 months ‘on cork’. Released June 2023. This is a 100% pinot-based rosé — a departure from our first which contained a blend of chardonnay and pinot.

Saffron Grange Classic Cuvée 2021 (6 Bottles) Saffron Walden, Essex, England

This signature vintage wine is our classic blend of 50% Pinot Noir, 35% Chardonnay and 15% Pinot Meunier aged for a minimum of 24 months on its’ yeast lees. This wine presents aromas of red fruits, buttery brioche and almonds on the nose perfectly balanced with juicy nectarine, baked apples, and our signature flint minerality on the finish.
This food friendly wine would be a perfect partner to smoked fish, roast chicken or creamy risotto dishes.
The Classic Cuvée is our signature style and the one which has accrued the most number of awards for us over the years and what we consider to consistently showcase the Saffron Grange style; fruit-forward, clean with a hint of brioche, great minerality and lovely acidity; a sparkling wine with finesse!

A rare and unique expression of English Pinot Noir. Grapes harvested in 2022 were crushed and left on their skins for two days before fermentation in a single puncheon of high-toast oak, where the wine was left to age for 10-months.
Bright pink-grapefruit colour gives way to notes of ripe cherry, savoury citrus, tangerine peel and pipe tobacco.
The palate has a pronounced structure, defined by a natural freshness and gentle tannic grip. Rich toasted oak resonates with the charred wood depicted in the label. A long and memorable finish.
