Feudi del Pisciotto Nero d’Avola 2024 (6 Bottles) Sicily, Italy

Feudi del Pisciotto is a property located in a rural area of south-eastern Sicily, on the edge of the Sughereta di Niscemi Nature Reserve. The name refers to a small river that flows through the property. The winery and cellars are housed in a historic ‘palmento’ dating to the 18th century. The property and vineyards were all but abandoned before they were bought by famous Italian journalist Paolo Panerai in 2005. The viticultural ideology of Feudi del Pisciotto is based on the philosophy of Giacomo Tachis, who famously proclaimed that “the terroir of Sicily allows any type of vine to be grown successfully, with the right knowledge”.
This Nero d'Avola is bright ruby red in colour, this wine offers aromas of red fruits like black cherry and cherry, complemented by delicate floral notes of violet and myrtle. On the palate, it is fresh, smooth, and velvety, with a beautifully rounded texture.

Settimo Pizzolato is the fifth generation of grower at the estate, a man full of charisma and innovative wisdom. The vines at the Pizzolato estate are on pebbly banks of river deposit, which are irrigated by concrete channels that were put in in the 1950s during Italy’s reconstruction post-war. he 2019 Blanc de Noirs is an almost equal blend of Pinot Noir and Meunier at 51% and 49% respectively, with a small addition of 3% reserve wine.
It was bottled in September 2020 and disgorged in November 2023, thus spending more than our minimum of three years on lees for our sparkling white wines. It has now spent over a year on cork, which has given us confidence, after tasting of course, that it is in a sweet spot and ready to be released and enjoyed.

Robbing Red Breast is a beautiful red wine produced from Rondo Red grapes. A vibrant ruby red appearance with a hint of purple, an aromatic nose with notes of cherry, plum, and hints of spice, earth, and subtle oak. Medium-bodied with flavours of ripe cherry, blackcurrant, and plum, complemented by subtle hints of chocolate and spice.
