When we decided we wanted to make sparkling wine we also wanted to make our mark. We looked at all the fantastic offerings in the English sparkling wine category and decided to make our sparkling wine in a different way.
Using the Charmat method, a production technique favoured by many Italian and German producers of quality sparkling wine, we were able to produce a different style of wine giving a more fruit driven, easy drinking and approachable style.
Made from Chardonnay, Seyval Blanc, Reichensteiner, Madeleine Angevine grapes. Light Bodied and Dry. Fresh, Crisp, Fruity and Refreshing
Wildwood Thieving Badger Regent 2022 (6 Bottles) Tonbridge Wells, East Sussex, England

A light-bodied wine that packs a punch, boasting rich aromas of blackcurrant, black cherry and stewed fruits, along with gentle notes of vanilla, sweet spices, black pepper and smoky cigar box. Named after the badgers that live in our woods, who try to steal our ripe Regent grapes.

This well-rounded dry wine has aromas of pear with floral notes of lilac and jasmine and a hint of toastiness from a short time in oak. On the palate, it is plump and centred with a fresh finish.
A smooth texture and a long finish makes this Pinot Blanc a versatile wine for food pairing. This vintage of Kerner has been on an upward trajectory ever since we first tasted it in 2018. Displaying the richer, aromatic, and honestly more intruiging side of Kerner, it has a bouquet of sweet white flowers, aromatic orchard fruits, with a nicely balanced sweetness. Pair with pork & cider casserole, coconut curries, and other aromatic dishes. Made by Three Choirs.

This “field blend” wine showcases the unique terroir of Nutbourne - combining the soil, the geography and the climate of our special corner of West Sussex. There is no other wine in the world to replicate it.
With tremendous freshness and wild fruit flavours, it is crisp, dry, and aromatic, combining our old vine Riesling-style German varietals with Pinot Noir. Perfect to drink on its own but also has enough zing to stand up to spicy foods, lighter game birds or a wholesome fish pie.
The art: Just as Nutbourne wines are only made from grapes grown on the estate, every bottle features Bridget Gladwin’s paintings. This painting depicts the striking double-curtain trellising system in Winter. The individual vine stands as a sculpture, a thing of beauty and nobility in its own right.
