A harmony of flavours including baked red apple, lightly stewed summer fruits and rich butter that give the wine remarkable weight and structure. The edges of the profile are filled with stone fruits that lead to a morish finish of toast and sweet pastry.

This structured still Chardonnay comes from a single-vineyard plot on our estate, Boot Hill Vineyard. It is bold, with rounded fruit flavours and a toasty, nutty character.
A bold, intense nose full of ripe lemon, peach and tropical fruits notes, alongside something floral and a toasted savoury note. On the palate, the wine is soft, rich and textural, with ripe citrus, tropical and stone fruits, green apple, lime cordial and yellow plum. As the wine opens up flavours of toasted nuts, forest floor and a distinct peppery note come through. The wine feels muscular and structured, with beautiful weight and balance on the finish.

This family-owned boutique winery was founded in 1995 and dedicates itself to the production of super-premium, sites pecific red wine made in small volumes. Originally from Germany, the Glaetzer family settled in Australia in the late 19th century and were some of the earliest recorded viticulturalists in the Barossa Valley and Clare Valley. Today the winery is run by internationally acclaimed winemaker Ben Glaetzer, who is responsible for driving the brand’s considerable loyal following.
Glaetzer Bishop is a true expression of Barossa Shiraz that is elegantly structured with a long finish. Hints of cut plum, dried spice and dark chocolate on the nose. This Albariño on the nose, lifted aromas of white peach, Meyer lemon and sea spray are complemented by subtle floral undertones. The palate is bright and refreshing, with juicy stone fruit and citrus flavours, a fine line of acidity and a delicate saline edge. Lees ageing has added a subtle creamy texture and mid-palate weight, without compromising the wine’s crisp, mineral finish.

A pale onion skin crossed with white peach threaded with a persistent, fine mousse.
The nose shows ripe red berry fruits - wild strawberry and cherries - overlaid with heady summer florals all held in a soft and bready frame. The addition of the 2015 and 2016 reserve wines bring a further layer of complexity with toasted nuts and sweet spice.
Thanks to the long lees ageing it is rich and round on the palate, with notes of raspberry, cranberry and redcurrant held in a delightful creaminess, but the fresh acidity provides the perfect balance and leads to a refreshing but persistent and luxurious finish.
