Monte del Frà Bardolino 2024 (6 Bottles) Veneto, Italy

£109.00
by Bancroft Wines

UK MAINLAND SHIPPING INCLUDED

Monte del Frà (meaning ‘land of the monks’) gets its name from the late 15th century, when a group of Friars formed a monastery on the land. Some hundred years later, the friars leased 25 hectares for the cultivation of vineyards and fruit trees. You can, in fact, still see this document today in the Vienna’s historic library. Fast forward several centuries, and Monte del Frà is now in the very capable hands of the Bonomo family. For over six decades the family have farmed this land, now resting firmly with the third generation; Marica, Silvia and Massimo Bonomo.

Vibrant ruby red colour. Fruity and spicy aromas such as red cherry, strawberry, raspberry, cranberry, cinnamon, cloves and black pepper. Light body with medium acidity, fruity and spicy the flavours remains true to the nose.

12.5% ABV. Vegan Friendly.

Albourne Estate Red Pinot Noir 2019 (6 Bottles) Albourne, West Sussex, England

£130.00
by Wines by Cellars

UK MAINLAND SHIPPING INCLUDED

This is our second vintage of Red Pinot Noir and displays a deeper, richer ruby colour and a more complex nose than our 2018 version. This is partly due to the vintage and partly due to increased use of the ‘saignee’ method during winemaking. The nose offers aromas of rich dark berries including black cherries backed by notes of cigarbox, black olives and dark chocolate. On the palate it delivers excellent body for a cool climate Pinot Noir with mature soft tannins, a balanced mouthfeel and a harmonious lingering finish. All of this wine has spent 12 months in a mix of new and old French oak barrels before being bottled by hand, unfined and unfiltered, under cork to allow gentle ageing.

Highly enjoyable with charcuteries cheese and nuts as an aperitif and great with a casserole or barbecued meats and vegetables.

Woodchester Valley Orpheus Bacchus 2023 (6 Bottles) Stroud, Gloucestershire, England

£153.00
by Wines by Cellars

UK MAINLAND SHIPPING INCLUDED

Made from our very best parcels of Bacchus grapes, a unique expression of Bacchus from some of our oldest vines. The Orpheus is a wine of great finesse, a limited range only made in selected years. The 2023 vintage is a well structured, elegant, dry white wine. On the nose you find undertones of gooseberry, elderflower and pink grapefruit. The precise citrus and pink grapefruit aromas follow through seamlessly on the palate developing into elegant, mouth watering stone fruits. A delightfully well balanced wine.

Hartenberg Cabernet Sauvignon 2021 (6 Bottles) Stellenbosch, South Africa

£149.00
by Bancroft Wines

UK MAINLAND SHIPPING INCLUDED

Established in 1692, Hartenberg Estate should need little introduction, as one of South Africa’s oldest wineries. By understanding and working with nature Hartenberg ensure that their wines are unique to their vineyards. Promoting biodiversity and soil health the estate has established a culture of regenerative farming, a system that allows the crafting of wines through environmentally conscious and sustainable methods. This Cabernet offers up everything you`d hunt for in Bordeaux, yet this red is from South Africa`s Hardenberg. Deep black in colour with cigar box, pencil shavings and truffle overlaying the ripe, rich red and black fruit beneath. Judicious use of oak and good acidity provides an impressive structure which this pure fruit clings to, offering lingering, fine tannins on the finish.

14% ABV. Vegan Friendly.
