Brimming with the warmth and richness of southern Sicily, this full-bodied red is a bold yet elegant expression of the island’s character. Deep, inviting aromas of cassis, and a touch of vanilla rise from the glass, layered with subtle hints of wood smoke. The palate is generous and fruit-driven, unfolding into dark cherries and ripe berries, with a long, velvety finish.

Feudi del Pisciotto Grillo 2024 (6 Bottles) Sicily, Italy

Feudi del Pisciotto is a property located in a rural area of south-eastern Sicily, on the edge of the Sughereta di Niscemi Nature Reserve. The name refers to a small river that flows through the property. The winery and cellars are housed in a historic ‘palmento’ dating to the 18th century. The property and vineyards were all but abandoned before they were bought by famous Italian journalist Paolo Panerai in 2005. The viticultural ideology of Feudi del Pisciotto is based on the philosophy of Giacomo Tachis, who famously proclaimed that “the terroir of Sicily allows any type of vine to be grown successfully, with the right knowledge”.
This Grillo is pale straw yellow with greenish highlights, this wine offers aromas of melon, white pear, apricot and a hint of tropical fruits. Very juicy and approachable, with a round mid-palate and a savoury finish.

This is a perfect and exact blend between Pinot Noir, chosen for its red fruits aroma, its body, depth of flavour and fullness, and Pinot Meunier, our favourite, for its aromatic sweetness, a lush fruitiness and the capacity to acquire the roundness of age comparatively rapidly. The Pinot Noir grape provides the back-bone of our wine, whilst the Pinot Meunier lends softeners and orchard fruit aromas. Núria Altés is a native of Batea, Terra Alta, and her family have been growers for generations. A proud Catalan, Núria is deeply immersed in the history of the region and will gladly recount the stories of her beloved land over a glass of Garnatxa Negra. She worked in local wineries before forming a partnership with her English husband, Rafael De Haan, to start Herència Altés, a project proudly carrying her family`s name in tribute to their work in the vineyards of Terra Alta over many generations.
Light and bright colour with golden reflections. Very expressive nose that awakens aromas of citrus, fruit and Mediterranean herbs. In the mouth it is very fresh, with a vibrant acidity, and very elegant.

The summer of 2018 left a legacy long after the long, warm summer days had faded and was well suited to producing a great harvest for reds. Nethercote Hill 2020 is a true reflection of this fantastic harvest. With light tannings, Oak undertones and a deliciously rich cherry hint on the pallet.
This wine pairs perfectly with lamb and other red meats, as well a being the perfect accompaniment to a traditional cheese board, or simply enjoy on its own. Best served at room temperature.
