The wine is dry yet the aromas remind us of baked apples and lemon peel, it’s a beautiful wine to drink with food and it will naturally match most fish dishes, and especially those prepared with a creamy sauce or with a hint of spice.
Tasting Notes featured in Decanter Magazine:: (November 2023) "A richly textured blanc de blancs from the North Downs, five years on lees. Yeasty mango, pineapple and banana peel on the nose. More rounded yellow fruits on the palate, seasoned with sweet spices and a touch of tannin. The creamy weight is offset by still-vivid freshness. Toasty almonds to finish."
WineGB Tasting Notes: "Deep colour, powerful nose with presence - cashew brioche and fig. A big, dense, textural wine with weight allied to power. Finishes long and fine with toasted nuts, candied lemon and spice."
The sixth release, our 2015 Blanc de Blancs is a standout wine that we are incredibly proud of. Awarded an impressive 93 points by Decanter Magazine, it featured in their November 2023 issue as one of the "Best English Wines to Try This Christmas". This wine is a true testament to our dedication to crafting exceptional English wines and makes a great gift for any wine lover.
The grapes were crushed and destemmed before fermenting. Part of the wine was fermented and aged in used oak barrels with the remainder in stainless steel tanks. Both batches went through malolactic fermentation. It was bottled for secondary fermentation in July 2016 and has matured on lees for 6 years.

Dunesforde commissioned this Rosé in honour of Queen Cartimandua, Queen of the North (AD43-69). This dry English wine comes from grapes that grow at a property Melbury Vale co-manages locally. The breakdown is about 80% Bacchus grapes, with the remaining 20% coming from a traditionally German variety called Reichensteiner. Both varieties of white grapes ripen very well in the cool Dorset climate, producing crisp approachable dry wines. Reichensteiner is a light, floral grape that is perfect for blending. Bacchus is well known as the “Sauvignon Blanc of the UK” so we know Sauvignon Blanc lovers, or lovers of any refreshing, dry white wines will love our Elegance. On the nose we get bright grapefruit and elderflower aromas, on the palate we also have notes pink grapefruit accompanied by undertones of white peach and fresh herbs.

Our Classic Cuvée is made using the traditional Champagne method and grapes. Hand-selected Pinot Noir, Burgundy clone, and Pinot Blanc make up this vintage, with the base wines barrel fermented in French Limousin oak.
Its structure has the robust acidity and minerality you would expect; however, this English cousin has depth, distinctive fruit flavours with a delicate floral twist and a biscuit-dry finish.

This is our Little Waddon Vineyard sparkling pink Col Fondo ‘Rosa’ 2022 Col Fondo is an Italian ancestral method semi-sparkling wine made by creating a second fermentation in bottle ‘Con il Fondo’ translates literally as ‘with the bottom’ – meaning sediment or lees is present.
This is all part of the wine style and adds an interesting complexity and mouth feel
