Domaine Chignard farms 8 hectares of old vines in Fleurie, situated at the top of the hill sloping down to Moulin-àVent on pure granitic soils. The wines are elegant but serious and concentrated expressions of the terroir, none more so than the ‘Les Moriers’ lieu-dit. Cédric is following in his father’s footsteps and continuing the traditional Beaujolais way of farming and winemaking.
Bright, focused, and energetic, the fruit-filled Fleurie "Les Moriers" reflects its outstanding terroir with good concentration and a superb depth not usually found in the wines of Fleurie. It's very lush and vivid, tasting generous and fluid with great vibrancy The vines average 80 years old and 'Les Moriers' has been known as one of the legendary vineyards of the Beaujolais for a few hundred years and this is it's best example.

Our ever-popular Pet Nat is back! A purely natural wine, fermented by natural yeasts with no added sulphites. It is a light, refreshing, slightly cloudy sparkling wine and is absolutely the perfect summer drink. We bottled during harvest while the wine was still frementing, keeping a light fizz in the bottle. It has a slight yeast sediment adding a great yeasty edge to the fruit aromas. The wine will gain yeasty aromas as it ages.
This is a natural wine in every way and is difficult to make, so we only use the best grapes available to us that we know will end up with the right flavours and balance in the wine.

The 2019 vintage began with abundant sunshine, a record-hot Easter, and a warm, wet summer. Despite challenges, careful vineyard management yielded clean, flavourful grapes. The blend includes 11% barrel-fermented wine and 12% aged reserve wines, with four years on lees for added complexity. Perfect for celebrations, it pairs beautifully with canapés and laughter. This award winning wine (Bronze Wine GB Awards) is made from grapes from the 2023 harvest this wine has just been released in August 2024. Comprising of Bacchus and Schonburger and very lightly oaked (20% in barrel).
This wine shows a more subtle and nuanced side to Bacchus. It has a harmonious bouquet of white peach and jasmine, with a light herbal verbena edge. On the palate it is fresh and crisp, with partial barrel and malolactic fermentation giving added texture and depth, ultimately delivering a long mineral finish.
