Cielo e Terra has dual roots in the Veneto region: the Cielo family and the winemakers of the Cantine dei Colli Berici. The Cielo family’s bond with the land dates back to 1908 in the Vicenza countryside, near the Castles of Romeo and Juliet, where the great-grandfather had bought Casa Defrà, a small farm with a vineyard. They enjoy making wines with passion and innovation to create signature versions of traditional Italian wines, looking for the right balance between personality and easy-drinking.
Dusty ruby colour. Earthy, minty, fruity aromas of mint, baking spice, meaty, and red fruit with a supple, vibrant, dry light body.

Aged in French and American oak barrels for almost one year, giving structure, complexity and depth. Dark Cherry, Blackberry and subtle oak notes make this perfect at the table with a wide range of fine foods.

Made from our very best parcels of Bacchus grapes, a unique expression of Bacchus from some of our oldest vines. The Orpheus is a wine of great finesse, a limited range only made in selected years. The 2023 vintage is a well structured, elegant, dry white wine. On the nose you find undertones of gooseberry, elderflower and pink grapefruit. The fruit was picked mid October, de-stemmed and pressed with partial wild yeast fermentation with over 70% in oak barrels, 5.4% of it new, and the rest of the ferment in stainless steel.
The 2022 was one of those glorious wine grape growing years. Spring started out mild and frost free. Summer brought so much sun along with the heat and drought, the clay soils loved it! Autumn was kind enough to offer a bountiful harvest and perfect ripeness for our still wines.

This wine is 100% Bacchus selected from two blocks from our growers in Essex. These grapes showed exceptional quality and ripeness on arrival at the winery and were separated as a premium offering by our winemaking team.
TASTING: Clear, pale lemon in colour.
NOSE: An intense nose with layers of gooseberry, pineapple, blackcurrant leaf & lime.
PALATE: A beautiful, balanced wine with excellent structure, including tropical fruit, blackcurrant leaf and a smooth mouthfeel. Steely lime acidity continues into a finish that just keeps on going.
