Furleigh Estate White Pinot Noir 2023 (6 Bottles) Bridport, Dorset, England

An unusual dry white wine with a sophisticated edge. Star-bright, medium intensity rose-gold with copper flashes.
Highly aromatic with orange blossom and tangerine peel plus attractive stone fruits including apricot and yellow nectarine. The palate is distinctly fruit-driven with vibrant flavours of greengage, quetsch and yellow plum, as well as top notes of kumquat and ruby grapefruit.
Uplifting freshness and juicy acidity combine to give a succulent mouth-watering wine with no trace of oak. Bursting with flavour, it combines rarity with food friendly versatility.
Serve chilled with mackerel escabeche or pickled herrings. Enjoy it with sea-trout served on a bed of fennel and ruby grapefruit. Delicious with sea bass drizzled with sauce vierge. Excellent with guinea-fowl and kumquat dressing, or turkey and cranberry sauce. Also pairs well with pork stuffed with apricots.
Winding Wood Brut Rosé 2020 (6 Bottles) Hungerford, Berkshire, England

This is our second release of sparkling rosé. Pressed, fermented, and bottled at Offbeat Wines by Daniel Ham, our winemaker. The grapes were hand-harvested and a whole bunch pressed. The wine underwent secondary fermentation in the bottle and then spent 18 months on its yeast lees and a further 6 months ‘on cork’. Released June 2023. This is a 100% pinot-based rosé — a departure from our first which contained a blend of chardonnay and pinot.

Ashdown Boundary Block is made from 100% Merlot grapes. Aged in old oak barrels for 19 months. Light to medium bodied with a ruby to garnet hue. On the nose aromas of plum, blackcurrant, blackberry, almond, rhubarb, Cherry Bakewell and vanilla leading to flavors of cooked cherries, black currant jam, vanilla, cranberries and blackberries.
It is smooth with a good length. Its tannin structure is well balanced and delicate, while still delivering an intense and complex taste. Enjoy this wine with roast beef, mushroom risotto, or game dishes. Well-balanced acidity and medium body create a crisp, lively texture that carries to a refreshing finish. Each year 400kg of fruit were whole bunch pressed and allowed to ferment spontaneously. In 2021 the fermenting juice was added to the existing base wine and bottled when the correct sugar level was reached. No additions were made at any point during the process. Disgorged with zero dosage.
