This traditional method sparkling rosé shows a gorgeous pale pink colour and is a blend of Seyval Blanc and Pinot Noir.
It has a bouquet of freshly picked cherry and red apple with a touch of white blossom. Ortega grapes ripen from the beginning of September – quite early for white grapes and therefore excellent in our rather damp Autumn climate.
It develops well in the bottle and produces wine of outstanding quality with a fine aroma reminiscent of peaches.

A single vineyard blend of Seyval Blanc and Pinot Noir. On site at Melbury Vale Vineyard we have one block of established Seyval Blanc vines and one block of established Pinot Noir vines. While Pinot Noir is traditionally used in sparkling wine, Seyval Blanc has become a go-to English preference for sparkling production. Pinot Noir and Seyval Blanc at Melbury Vale ripen about the same time and are checked for sugar levels that are ideal for sparkling. This wine is a pale coral pink color with fine bubbles typical of a high quality English sparkling wine. On the nose there are aromas of fresh summer berries and meadow flowers, and on the palate there are bright notes of ripe strawberry, watermelon, and lime zest.
Food Pairings: Dorset shellfish dishes, smokey pulled pork, and with cake after tea.

Ashdown Boundary Block is made from 100% Merlot grapes. Aged in old oak barrels for 19 months. Light to medium bodied with a ruby to garnet hue. On the nose aromas of plum, blackcurrant, blackberry, almond, rhubarb, Cherry Bakewell and vanilla leading to flavors of cooked cherries, black currant jam, vanilla, cranberries and blackberries.
It is smooth with a good length. Its tannin structure is well balanced and delicate, while still delivering an intense and complex taste. Enjoy this wine with roast beef, mushroom risotto, or game dishes. Well-balanced acidity and medium body create a crisp, lively texture that carries to a refreshing finish. A cool climate grape variety most similar to a New Zealand Sauvignon blanc. It is characterised by intense aromas of citrus, elderflower and grapefruit combined with a fruity palate of apple, elderflower and herbaceous notes. Our Anne of Cleves wine has a medium dry finish. This wine was made from organically grown grapes.

This dry white sparkling wine is made from 70% Pinot Noir and 30% Chardonnay grapes hand-picked from our vineyard in October 2019.
It was made using the classic bottle fermentation method and has spent three years on the lees. It is pale gold in colour and displays a fine mousse.
It has a floral bouquet with grapefruit and lemon on the nose. Dry on the palate with delicate aromas of apple, white peach, lemon and lime and a nutty finish.
