This is the eleventh release of our best and most acclaimed sparkling rosé wine. Made with 92% Pinot Noir and a dash of Pinot Meunier lovingly picked at the end of a cool and challenging season. The grape were from the ripest plots across our two site picked around the end of the third week of October.

During the early years, Bodegas Lustau operated as an ‘Almacenista’. The Lustau family began bottling their own sherries and exporting by 1950. In the 1980s they expanded their range and introduced the Almacenista range concept of buying and maturing casks from small bodegas to share excellent quality names and styles with enthusiasts around the world. Bodegas Lustau is considered a world-class benchmark for top-quality wines.

Our long awaited 2023 Sauvignon Blanc. Part of our Limited-edition range made from grapes harvested from just 2,000 vines planted on our steepest vineyard field called Westrip. These vines have been producing award winning wines from the very beginning with our first release the 2017 winning a silver medal. This was followed by an unprecedented double gold for the 2018 at the 2019 IWSC and 2019 Global Sauvignon Blanc Masters. Most recently our 2021 vintage took home the Global Sauvignon Blanc Master Medal, a pioneering first for English Sauvignon Blanc.

Cielo e Terra has dual roots in the Veneto region: the Cielo family and the winemakers of the Cantine dei Colli Berici. The Cielo family’s bond with the land dates back to 1908 in the Vicenza countryside, near the Castles of Romeo and Juliet, where the great-grandfather had bought Casa Defrà, a small farm with a vineyard. They enjoy making wines with passion and innovation to create signature versions of traditional Italian wines, looking for the right balance between personality and easy-drinking.
This wine displays a light straw yellow colour, hinting at its bright and refreshing character. The nose is fresh and fruity, with delicate aromas of wildflowers and fresh fruit that create an inviting bouquet. Golden yellow in colour, the nose is luxuriously rich and toasty with aromas of baked orchard and citrus fruits, reminiscent of caramelised tarte tatin. The ripe chardonnay from the endless summer of 2018 blends seamlessly with autolytic pastry notes formed over 5 years of lees ageing in bottle. On the palate, the wine is full of ripe citrus fruit with a backbone of crisp, mineral acidity holding everything together.
A slight salinity and pithiness in the mouth makes this wine perfect for enjoying with seafood such as oysters or even good old fish and chips. Drink from now or leave under cork for the next couple of years and let the wine become even toastier and more opulent.
