This is a first release of our 100% organic Chardonnay sparkling wine, made in a similar style to our Limney Estate, without yeast added (primary fermentation), unfiltered and with minimal added sulphur. It was fermented in stainless steel. The wine has a dry balance and aromas of white fruit (peach, baked apple) with a clean finish.

Our Ortega is a delicate, precisely made wine, which has been produced using a combination of natural and selected yeasts. This year’s vintage showcases everything we love about Ortega as a variety - a nose of tropical fruit and on the palate a herbal, saline finish.
Winemaker Adrian Pike explains "We were really proud of what we released last year, but quite simply, the 2023 vintage gave us riper fruit and that’s given all our releases a little more brightness and concentration of flavours, still with all the classic Westwell characteristics."

Established in 1692, Hartenberg Estate should need little introduction, as one of South Africa’s oldest wineries. Judicious use of oak and good acidity provides an impressive structure which this pure fruit clings to, offering lingering, fine tannins on the finish.
