An award winning Chardonnay, a perfect expression of a lightly oaked aromatic English Chardonnay.
The wine presents a light gold colour, a delicate bouquet of yellow plums naectarine, pear drops, gooseberry, honeysuckle and ripe figs and hints of vanilla and spice. Rich but balanced, soft and very approachable. A lovely creamy palate is developing with salinity and a long luscious finish.
2023 had perfect conditions for flowering and fruit set and a warm and dry harvest period the quality of the fruit was excellent and we harvested in early October.

Grown in Sussex, just 35 miles from our winery, the grapes are hand-picked and sorted in the vineyard. Whole bunch pressed and fermented using indigenous yeast in old burgundy barrels. The wine underwent natural malolactic fermentation and aged for a total of 7 months with frequent lees stirring. Our pinot meunier is a delicate interpretation of the variety lending itself to aromas of raspberry, mandarin peel, red floral notes, grapefruit, with hints of citrus zest, and dried cranberry.

A one-off reserve sparkling wine, six years in the making and only 1,200 bottles produced – this has been a special project Ben has worked on since Flint opened its doors in 2016.
Made from Pinot noir, Chardonnay and Meunier, the VMV is a blend of the best juice from across three vintages, ⅔ aged in oak, secondary fermentation in bottle, and aged on its lees for a further three years.

Leslie’s Reserve Brut NV is a bright and fresh sparkling wine that captures the elegance and purity of English winemaking. Named after co-founder Leslie Balfour Lynn and first released in 2021 alongside the Rosé, this classic traditional method wine highlights Balfour’s signature style, emphasising fruit and aromatics with minimal reserve wine. This wine is also Zero Dosage and crafted from selected hand-picked Chardonnay & Pinot Blanc grapes gently pressed to extract the highest quality cuvee juice. A portion of the juice underwent primary fermentation in large French new oak barrels with subsequent prolonged lees contact in barrel prior to blending.
After secondary fermentation this wine enjoyed 44 months or more on-lees maturation in bottle, all of which has helped to create a beautifully balanced and elegant Sussex sparkling wine with layers of complexity, great poise and length.
On the nose the wine offers aromas of pear, peach and apricot complimented by a touch of brioche.
