The first release of our Trigonia Series, the 2016 Blanc de Blancs. This wine was bottled in early summer 2017 and has now spent six years on the lees, quietly evolving and developing those enhanced autolytic aromas and flavours. Disgorged in May 2023, the nose is still fresh and lively, with inviting biscuit and pastry aromas reminiscent of a lemon tart.

This 100% Pinot Blanc is an exciting wine with a complex nose of cake batter and jasmine. On the palate, white pears balance with the soft, oak-imparted, notes of lightly toasted almonds. Palacios Remondo is a family-owned winery based in Alfaro, in Rioja Oriental, the warmest and most easterly part of the Rioja appellation. The soils here are silty and alluvial and the semi-arid Mediterranean climate is well-suited to growing Garnacha, a variety that is finally coming back into the foreground in this region, after decades of being supplanted by the more popular Tempranillo.
This wine is the epitome of Garnacha of the region, plump and generous, with layers of red fruit, subtle spicing and lively freshness. A very long, complete finish, with a savoury sign off to balance.

Valentin Leflaive CV1830 Blanc de Blancs NV Extra Brut (6 Bottles) Champagne, France

Launched in 2015, Valentin Leflaive was granted the status of ‘négociant-manipulant’ in 2020 enabling the company to manage the whole production chain including the purchase of grapes. A boutique winery was opened in Oger with a traditional ageing cellar dug deep into the chalk. Chef de Caves Christophe Pitois, who looks after the important relationship with the growers, is assisted by talented enologist Clément Galois. Both are from the Champagne region.
The colour reveals golden yellow reflections and a fine effervescence. The nose is expressive, with notes of ripe fruits such as white peach punctuated by brioche and toasted aromas. The attack is creamy and complex. A beautiful aromatic palate finishes on refreshing lemon and citrus notes.
12.5% ABV.
