Balfour Nannette’s Rosé 2025 (6 Bottles) Tonbridge, Kent, England

Light, pale styles of rosé have delicate aromas which can be overpowered by strong flavours. The structure and depth of Nannette’s makes it a perfect companion to summer salads, light seafood dishes or soft cheeses. Or, when the weather is warmer, serve at fridge temperature and enjoy on its own.

Inspired by our home and delicately pale to look at, this still wine blend of the traditional champagne varieties (Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunier, Chardonnay) shows just what English rosé is capable of. Brimming with delicious summer berry and a zesty freshness, from clay Hush Heath vineyards are ideally suited to create this soft, delicate dry style – the character of the wine echoes the beautiful English summer fruit orchards which inspired it. The resulting wine has baked apple, bruised apricot and nutty characteristics with good weight, balance and grip.

For every bottle purchased from this range, we'll donate 25p to the Dartmoor Preservation Association to preserve the natural habitat.

NECTAR FROM A DIFFERENT HECTARE

This heavenly wine is made by one of my fabulous wine-buddies, Roberto Echeverría and the jazzy new label is designed by his English wife Julia who grew up down the road from Coolhurst in Copthorne!

The grapes for this wine are grown in a single vineyard in the Entre Cordilleras area of the Curicó Valley, at an altitude of 243 metres. Situated on the 35th parallel south, between the towering Andes Mountains and the cool Pacific Ocean, the cooling influence of the oceanic breeze allows the grapes to achieve outstanding fruit aromas and exceptional colour concentration. The rows are planted in an east-westerly direction, to maximise the sun’s exposure.

This is an absolute cracker and incredible value for money! This concentrated golden wine has a complex nose of mature peaches, apricots and honey, with notes of quince jam and creamy honeyed flavours enlivened by a good level of acidity. Rich, intense and full bodied, with a long and elegant finish. Serve nice and cold!
