Palacios Remondo is a family-owned winery based in Alfaro, in Rioja Oriental, the warmest and most easterly part of the Rioja appellation. The soils here are silty and alluvial and the semi-arid Mediterranean climate is well-suited to growing Garnacha, a variety that is finally coming back into the foreground in this region, after decades of being supplanted by the more popular Tempranillo.
This wine is the epitome of Garnacha of the region, plump and generous, with layers of red fruit, subtle spicing and lively freshness. A very long, complete finish, with a savoury sign off to balance.

The vines at the Pizzolato estate are on pebbly banks of river deposit, which are irrigated by concrete channels that were put in in the 1950s during Italy’s reconstruction post-war. Made from our organic Pinot Noir from the Redmoors vineyard, planted in 2016. It is a light red wine with typical varietal aromas of the grape variety, soft balance, complex with red berry fruit and great length of flavour. A whole berry ferment with 50% whole bunches included, aged in large oak vats for 9 months and then has a further 12 months maturing in the bottle.
